When research teams are shaping a major initiative, they bring me in to help synthesize and streamline the vision. I facilitate events and conversations that help interdisciplinary and multi-institutional teams identify the strongest opportunities, align collaborators, and articulate clear, compelling initiatives that partners and funders want to support.
My work focuses on the starting phase, when teams are exploring ideas and need to converge on a clear direction.
Through strategic retreats, project-design workshops, and facilitated working groups, I help high-potential teams move from early ambiguity to a strong, shared concept that serves as the foundation for proposals, policy guidance, and public-facing communications.
Book a 20-minute call to see if I can help.
I'm always glad to hear about a big idea.

"Elisabeth has the unique strength to simultaneously conceptualize broadly (in space and time) and facilitate groups to see the path forward. Her engagement with the Pervasive Technology Institute was absolutely instrumental in our successful relaunch of Research Data Alliance - US."
-Beth Plale, Executive Director, School of Computer and Data Sciences, University of Oregon

"Elisabeth understood the importance and significance of what we were trying to do, and quickly honed in on the key issues and challenges we faced. I really appreciate and admire Elisabeth's talents for crystallizing complex concepts.
I cannot overstate how much Elisabeth brings value to researchers and academics putting together large grants. She has a unique set of skills, but also the temperament and positive attitude every team needs and wants. We all enjoyed working with her, and are proud of the product we put out with her help."
-Francis de los Reyes III, Futrell Distinguished Professor, North Carolina State University

"Elisabeth takes technical and complex ideas, and turns them into proposals that can be understood by non-specialists. Importantly, she involves herself so deeply that the proposals effectively convey our group's sincere motivations and purpose to pursue these projects. She is a superb writer and collaborator."
-John Colbourne, Professor / Chair of Environmental Genomics, Director of the Centre for Environmental Research and Justice (CERJ)

"Thank you for the excellent workshops you’ve delivered for IU. Your sessions have always been thoughtful, practical, and very well received."
-Jennifer Lawrence, Assistant Vice President, Research Development, Indiana University
I asked Joe Shaw, Professor and O'Neill Chair at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Sciences at Indiana University, why it was helpful to bring me in when developing PrecisionTox.
